5717 "Amami Dorozome" Boro Jacquard Shirt - Dark Brown

Studio D'Artisan continues to surprise us this season with the most unique fabrics, with this Boro Jacquard shirt being no exception. This beautiful boro jacquard fabric is mud-dyed with sashiko accents, crafted by artisans on Japan's Amami-Oshima islands. The Dorozome dye techniques used for this production has a many hundred years long tradition, combining tannins from the Japanese Hawthorne tree, before multiple rounds of immersion in mineral-rich mud found on the islands.

Due to the nature of the dying processes used, the color of each piece may vary, and the natural dye may slowly fade over time.
